Delivered Duty PaidDDP
When the goods are placed at the buyer's disposal, cleared for import, at the named destination.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is the Incoterms® 2020 rule that places the most responsibility on the seller. It can be used for any mode of transport and is in group D. The seller delivers the goods, cleared for import, at the named place of destination, having paid all costs including import duties and taxes.
Risk transfers to the buyer at the named destination, when the goods are placed at its disposal ready for unloading. The seller bears the full journey — export clearance, carriage, import clearance and duties — while the rule does not require insurance. Unloading at destination is the buyer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
DDP is the mirror image of EXW: EXW is the seller's minimum obligation and DDP its maximum.
