Licensing
LOGIbook presents factual data drawn from third-party registries, plus original compiled material — the selection, arrangement, cross-linking, code and editorial text. The two carry different terms.
Source data
Each dataset remains subject to the rights and licence of its original publisher. LOGIbook uses only openly-licensed sources, verified at the source. The licence of each is shown on the Sources page and on every figure's source bar. Predominant licences include:
- Public domain — US Government works such as the NGA World Port Index and OurAirports.
- CC BY 4.0 — the World Bank, Marine Regions, GeoNames, FAOSTAT, OpenTravelData.
- CC BY 3.0 IGO — UNCTAD.
- ODbL 1.0 — OpenStreetMap.
- CC0 — GRIP4 Global Roads.
- Etalab 2.0 — CEPII (BACI).
- Official open terms — the UN Treaty Collection, EU TEN-T and the EU/UN sanctions lists.
Where a licence requires attribution, the publisher is named on the page; we comply with each licence's attribution and share-alike conditions.
