Delivered at PlaceDAP
When the goods are placed at the buyer's disposal on the arriving means of transport, ready for unloading, at the named place.
DAP (Delivered at Place) is an Incoterms® 2020 rule for any mode of transport, in group D — the arrival group. The seller bears all cost and risk of bringing the goods to the named place of destination, where they are placed at the buyer's disposal on the arriving means of transport, ready for unloading.
Risk transfers at the named destination, before unloading. The seller arranges and pays for the carriage and bears the risk of the entire journey; the rule does not require insurance, though the seller carries the risk. The buyer is responsible for unloading the goods and for import clearance and duties.
DAP differs from DPU in that the buyer unloads, and from DDP in that the buyer — not the seller — clears the goods for import and pays the duties.
